The Heartbeat of Mother Earth Collection
This innovative exhibition gathers the work of nine artists hailing from countries across the world including Australia, Peru, Italy, and Switzerland. It stages the continuous challenge of the artists to find the point of connection between the Self and the universe, the subjective and the collective. It invites viewers to reflect upon the point of connection between ourselves and Entirety, to create a place of real belonging which has its vital point in art and creation.
This piece portrays Mother Earth looking uncomfortably at the world and feeling saddened by the destructive state it is in.
In a way the artist has likened Mother Earth to the super hero Sher-Ra who had lost a valiant war to protect innocent people from themselves.
A sister painting to Sher-Ra’s Loss, Floating Lotus depicts a peaceful Mother Earth who is flowing energy around herself and sending it toward the world. The beauty and the abundance of the world is symbolic to the hope that our earth can one day be restored to its full exquisiteness.
The chaos depicted in this artwork portrays disjointedness and how the elements in this world, including Mother Earth's soul is tearing itself apart.
